Last week, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) made remarks on the Senate floor about his new intro of the Disengaging Entirely from the United Nations Debacle (DEFUND) Act of 2023. This would get the US out of the UN and WHO entirely. The bill number is S.3428.
There is an analogous counterpart to this bill in the House, Introduced by Reps. Chip Roy (R-TX) and Mike Rogers (R-AL): HR6645.
I have already submitted written messages of support for these bills to my rep and senators. I expect these bills will be stranded at the committee level as have several previous anti-WHO bills (HRs 79, 343, 1425, 7916; S.444), but I'm making noise as I am able.
